Banking institution have a place of great importance in the development of economic sector in region. At the present, there are 15 branch office of various bank. Bank local are 7 in the city of Kendari ( capital city of the province ), 3 in Kolaka ( Capital city of Kolaka regency ), 3 in Bau-Bau ( Capital city of Buton regency ), and 2 in Raha ( Capital city of Muna regency ).
Especially for " Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI)" has some branch's located at several villages in Southeast Sulawesi.
